President’s Message

Dave Potter, CMCA, AMS Golden Rain Foundation – Seal Beach Chapter President

It is an honor to serve as your Chapter President for 2025. I am excited about the year ahead. Our Chapter is one of the most active in CAI and engaging with our Chapter is rewarding and enriching for yourself and your fellow members.

What makes CAI special as a trade organization, and the Orange County Chapter in particular, is that we are about “Shaping Community Leadership”. Our focus is not on any one segment of the community association industry. CAI offers pathways for community managers; business partners who provide services to the community; and board members and homeowners who volunteer to oversee the affairs of their neighborhoods. Whatever you do for community associations, CAI will help you thrive.

accelerate in the years ahead. What we do now to invest in our next generation of Chapter members and leaders will determine how strong Orange County remains for the future.

For those of you reading this who are thinking of getting more involved with the Chapter, there is no more rewarding experience than volunteering to serve on a committee and helping to give back to your industry. There are so many opportunities! Please speak to our Executive Director Denise Kennedy if you have an interest, or any Board member or current committee chair. We are all one larger community in CAI, dedicated to leading each of our communities at the highest level.

I look forward to seeing all of you at our events, whether it’s a networking or mentoring gathering for your membership group, an educational seminar, or a social night out (because it’s important to relax and have fun too!). 2025 is going to be a great year for CAI Orange County, and I’m excited to experience it with you.
