On March 19th, the Homeowner Leader Committee held a happy hour mixer at Bru Grill and Market in Lake Forest for both current and prospective members. It was very well attended. More than 15 homeowner leaders were in attendance representing HOAs from across the county, ranging from as small as 8 units to one of the largest HOAs in Orange County with more than 6000 units.


The evening also proved to be a great educational experience for all. Following introductions, our guest speaker Daniel Heaton, Esq. from DeNichilo Law, APC opened the fl oor to questions in our “Ask the Attorney” round table.


This format was very well received by all in attendance. Questions covered a wide range of topics from assessment collection to dealing with unethical board members. Mr. Heaton provided a wealth of information as he led pointed discussions among the attendees on the very issues they were facing in their HOAs.


The Chapter will continue to hold similar events on a variety of issues. Homeowner Leaders are encouraged to take advantage


of the many educational opportunities that the Chapter offers, from the online HOA-U presentations to the monthly, in-person, educational luncheons. Also, our Committee is always looking for more Homeowner Leader members.
