February Luncheon Letting AI Take the Wheel: Leveraging AI to Enhance the Effi ciency for HOA Community Managers
February 11, 2025 Sarah Martinez, NYLIFE Securities
In February, Jeffery A. Beaumont, Esq., CCAL of Beaumont Tashjian, Markus Ashely, CMCA, AMS of Professional Community Management, AAMC, and Mike Perlof, CMCA of Fenton Grant Kaneda & Litt, LLP, delivered an engaging presentation during a luncheon on leveraging AI for effi ciency in HOA community management.
If you’ve never attended a luncheon with Mike Perlof as one of the speakers, you’re truly missing out. Mike kicked off the event with a hysterical song about AI that had the entire audience laughing and cheering.
The speakers covered a wide range of topics, including practical examples of using AI tools like ChatGPT in daily operations. However, they also emphasized the potential risks associated with AI, such as bias, copyright infringement, privacy concerns, and the unauthorized practice of law. It is crucial for companies to implement AI policies to mitigate these risks.
Transparency in the use of AI technology is essential. Additionally, seeking legal advice from qualifi ed professionals is vital, rather than relying solely on AI-generated content, to avoid potential legal ramifi cations.
Overall, the luncheon highlighted the importance of responsibly incorporating AI into operations while being mindful of the legal and ethical considerations involved. It was an enlightening and thought- provoking event that provided valuable insights for community managers, board members, and other attendees.
Sarah Martinez of NYLIFE Securities and Rebecca Smith of Vista Paint helped coordinate this program.
A special thank you to ChatGPT for assisting in writing this recap.
