2021 LEGISLATIVE ADVOCATES GOVERNOR LEVEL • $1,000 +
the day attending appointments with state representatives and senators to promote Community Associations Institute as a resource and educate the legislators on the current legislative goals of the PA LAC and seek their support on those issues.
SENATOR LEVEL • $500 - $999
Mr. Granor said, “When I have gone to Harrisburg for our annual blitz, I see how our lobbyists are known to the legislators and also to other organizations. I witnessed a literal in- the-halls-exchange where a change was made on the spot to legislation which would have hurt our communities with private roads. Only through our lobbyists personally knowing the Realtor lobbyist was this possible.”
REPRESENTATIVE LEVEL • $250 - $499 CONSTITUENT LEVEL • $100 - $249
Having attended the Advocacy Summit (before the pandemic), I can say what a privilege it is to sit down and meet with these legislators. I have observed the rapport enjoyed by members of Pugliese Associates with elected officials and their staffs. They have earned access at the Capitol with their professionalism and integrity.

Since this issue of Community Assets is dedicated to legal and legislative issues, it is important to note that the single largest line item in the LAC’s annual budget is the expense for our lobbying firm, Pugliese Associates. At this writing and in these difficult financial times, PA LAC is tracking to have a shortfall of several thousand dollars this year, and this is not sustainable!
While we do receive funding from CAI, we still need to raise a significant portion of our budget. In past years, we have been able to count on significant funding from our communities through our Dollar-a-Door campaign, which asks communities to provide $1.00 per household. During the pandemic, though, these contributions have fallen significantly —but our expenses have not.
It is important to note that all of our PA LAC delegates volunteer their time and pay their own expenses to travel to Harrisburg and other activities.
We do the “heavy lifting” with our time and effort, and we ask you to do the ”light-lifting” by providing the funding that we need to meet our budget. Please take a moment and go to our link at:
