Otto Construction Awarded $229 Million Sacramento Airport Project Te Sacramento County Board of Supervisors recently voted to award a $229 million design-build contract to Otto Construction for construction of the Terminal B Parking Garage at Sacramento International Airport (SMF). Te parking garage is part of the airport’s $1.3 billion SMForward capital program,


which will bring about significant improvements and upgrades to enhance the customer convenience, comfort and accessibility at SMF while meeting passenger traffic demands. Te new parking garage will be located on the west side of Terminal B, providing more than 5,500 parking spaces across six levels. Construction is scheduled to begin this fall with a completion date of May 2026. Partnering with International Parking Design, Inc. and McClone Construction, Otto is poised to bring unparalleled innovation and quality craftsmanship to Sac- ramento County’s first design-build project. Leveraging their collective experience and expertise, this collaboration aims to create a world-class facility that aligns with the vision and needs of Sacramento International Airport. “Increasing close-in garage parking capacity is the number-one opportunity we


have to improve the guest experience at SMF,” said Cindy Nichol, director of Sacra- mento County Department of Airports. “By partnering with Otto Construction, our team is set to deliver a parking garage that is both beautiful and functional.” With a rich history of contributing to the growth and modernization of the airport going back to 1989, Otto continues to demonstrate its commitment to enhancing the airport experience for travelers. Teir recent projects at SMF include Terminal B Landside Interiors, Terminal A Food Court Renovation, and the current Terminal A Restroom Rehabilitation. Otto also built Terminal A Parking Garage in 2004, also designed by IPD. “We are honored to have been entrusted with the construction of the Terminal

Hub allows MWIS to offer clients the resources of a globally recog- nized firm while maintaining local management, long-term client, community and industry rela- tionships, and the individualized service and support model for which the company is known. Ingrid Merriwether, the founder and CEO of MWIS, will continue in a leadership role as president of Aligned Risk Management within the Hub Central & Northern Cal- ifornia unit, and MWIS staff will remain in place to ensure conti- nuity of service.
