Legislative Summit Draws Construction Leaders to State Capitol

A

GC of California hosted a successful two-day Legislative Day event on May 7-8, 2024.Te first day began with a State Board Meeting, where strategic discussions were held to advance the

association’s goals. Ben Golombek, EVP with the California Chamber of Commerce, was the featured speaker during the association’s subsequent PAC meeting, which included a comprehensive political briefing that offered participants insights into key legislative priorities. In the evening, mem- bers had the opportunity to network with legislators during a reception. Te day concluded with a highly successful PAC fundraising dinner, which significantly strengthened relationships with elected officials. Te second day featured the annual Capitol meetings on May 8, during which members engaged directly with legislators. These meetings fur- thered the association’s advocacy efforts and allowed members to discuss pressing issues affecting the California construction industry. Overall, the event successfully enhanced AGC of California’s advocacy initiatives and fortified important connections with state legislators.
