tainer, excelling in slight-of-hand and hypnotism. He was the son of married magic and comedy duo Billy and Ann Bishop. The ceremony took place on a perfect Chicago spring day, attended by friends and family and a rep- resentative of the Showmen’s League of America. Family members lovingly recalled his quirky character. He was briming over with plans and ideas for his magic career, was very ambitious, and had very little filter — entering a crowd, saying whatever was on his mind, putting on a show, sometimes getting himself into a little trouble by not reading the room! Glenn taught magic at Bishop’s Magic Shop in Oak Park, Illinois, as well as at the original Old Chicago Magic Shop founded by Marshall Brodien — “Wizzo” from Bozo’s Circus. He devised many innovative ways to keep his children entertained, and found ways to connect with them throughout life, including playing the same videogames that they liked. Glenn was a member of the Showmen’s League of America in
the 1990s, but continued to talk about the interesting history of the SLA and of Showmen’s Rest throughout his life. His family decided it would be a very fitting place to lay him to rest. Showmen’s Rest, located in Woodlawn Cemetery in Chicago, is a historic location with over 100 years of history. Not long after its
