IRO Strategies for Success Discussed at Houston Summit

he NIRI Houston Board hosted an IRO Strategies for Success Summit in September 2023 to provide investor relations (IR) and finance professionals with a day full of quality
and engaging content covering top-of-mind topics facing public companies today. Three panels comprising investor relations officers (IROs)
and related professionals discussed the evolution of shareholder engagement; best practices for environmental, social and gover- nance (ESG) and sustainability reporting; and driving stakeholder value through an enhanced communications strategy. Te event was sold out, and participants had the opportunity to network and grow their knowledge to support their professional development and corporate IR strategies.
Te guest keynote speaker Matthew Brusch, CAE, President and CEO of NIRI, provided insightful commentary on the role of the IR professional and NIRI’s role in ensuring the continued de- velopment of IROs. Keynote speaker Niels Holch, Vice President, Policy & Advocacy of NIRI, discussed the priority regulatory issues facing the investor relations field today. NIRI Houston Chapter President Daniel Jenkins also discussed the leadership support and educational resources that NIRI provides. Key topics discussed during the panels included:
