Recruiting


Recruiting volunteers is ongoing and varied in its targets and means. However, each effort can


win unanticipated support for multiple efforts down the road. Here are a few little things we’ve done:


New Owners:


   After we know they have moved in, we hang a Welcome Bag on the front doorknob with a letter, emergency contacts and other data plus some of the cool swag we have picked up at 


Residents:


One of the most appreciated things we have done is send out a President’s letter eblast each month. We have had a number of projects on the property and keeping people up to date on what’s happening, (oh and   a shout out to volunteers who have assessed  made recommendations for additions to make that amenity more useful.


We also have poster display cases on the  creates and posts monthly updates and reminders that reinforce the President’s eblast messages.


Molasses Creek also has a Facebook page  volunteer owner, as it’s not a good idea for a Board to be involved in Facebook, and used primarily for outgoing messages. Board members still follow that page and are “friends” so can read what people are  need a response, are typically handled through a 


Board Member Recruitment:

After you have checked out their interest and they agree to an informal interview, you take your interview questions and the folder to leave with them. Inside are general condo board basics, a recent history of Board activity, the Rules they will need to enforce, and the most recent Board meeting packet, minus any personal info like  there is support and resources available.


Communication


I’ve saved the most important for last. Hey, wait a minute. All of the above has been about
