Charging Station STATUTES

n March 11, 2022, the Washington State legislature adopted a law applying to all common-interest communities


concerning electric vehicle (“EV”) charging stations. This law took effect June 9, 2022, and is designed to promote, encourage, and remove obstacles to the use of EV charging stations within common interest communities. This law amended the following common-interest community  .


This law is designed to remove obstacles to the use of EV charging stations.


All of the aforementioned statutes include the same   not include subsection 4(c) because EV charging stations  owned areas (i.e., Limited Common Elements and Common  does include subsection 4(c) with respect to “an association of single-family homes, site condominiums, or a planned use 


A charging station may include several charge points.
