In October 2022, Orbit Media Studios released its ninth annual blogging survey. Each year, they ask 1,000+ bloggers 20 questions about their process and content. 23% of bloggers reported using 1 image in their posts. 47% reported using 2–3 images in their posts. 22% reported using 4–6 images in their posts. 8% reported using 7+ images in their posts.
Bloggers who use 7+ images per post are 2.3x more likely to report strong results.
1 in 4 bloggers are now adding video content to articles. Orbit Media tracked the impact of videos on content engagement and found a 4x lift to many of the engagement metrics for posts with added video.
