t goes without saying that the original Woodstock festival, had it been planned properly, would have been a security, legal liability and insurance nightmare (i.e., mixing copious amounts of drugs, exposed electrical wiring, and near-constant rainfall would cause any insurance broker or emergency responder to run for the hills). Due to such issues, most community
associations will avoid hosting a large-scale event on association property like Woodstock. But even small, private events held on or even around private community associations can raise a host of issues, from security, to legal liability exposure and insurance coverage, the board and manager must be aware of the factors required to keep association residents safe.
