ATTORNEYS CAN SO BE YOUR

By Jerry P. Mason (Fictional Esq.), CAI Staff Writer

In many of the superhero movies I have seen over the years, there is typically a character or a group with a rather complicated history that details how they arrived at the superhero status they’ve achieved. Maybe some chemical spill, insect bite, or futuristic machine has helped them morph into their current state of being. The plot line seems to follow a similar path in each of the movies. We have the superhero working to save someone or some group from the circumstances they have found themselves in.

I would propose that in the community association industry we have a set of superheroes that in many respects (save for the capes, masks, shields or armored suits) fit a similar description. It’s a group that sometimes works independently and sometimes as a team. They have even been known to work on opposite sides of the same issue and yet seemingly doing so in the best interest of saving board members, unit owners and the community associations where they live from a variety of circumstances.

This group of superheroes are the attorneys that work every day with community association board members, unit owners, vendors, and other business partners in the industry.
