e are proud to announce this year’s winners of the annual National Recreation Trails (NRT) Photo Contest, spon-


sored by American Trails. Our goal is to show off these great trails with photos of trail users and facilities, management ideas, construction, and volunteers. We also want to highlight the many types and uses of these trails— on snow, land, and water— throughout America.


The NRT Program is designed to celebrate America’s trails, greenways, and blueways. Even as we struggle with budgets and prior- ities, more people than ever are using trails, and we need more recognition for our parks and public lands.


If you’d like to enter the 2019 contest, check the online searchable database for a list of NRTs in your state and for more information on individual trails.
