2021 Executive Management Conference Features Strong Program, Networking By Jackson Hataway, Executive Vice President of Communications, Marketing & Member Services

It’s hard to believe that the end of the year is approaching. Despite the challenges of the year, we’ve seen bankers make every effort to attend events, log in to webinars and generally continue their professional development. Given the staffing and time constraints you all face, MBA thanks you for your ongoing engagement!

It also is at this time of year that we begin to look forward to the Executive Management Conference. Tis year’s conference is Dec. 1-3 at Te Ritz-Carlton St. Louis. We are already anticipating a very busy conference, with bankers and vendors eager to share in holiday festivities together. Tere is a sentiment in the air that we have a full year to make up!

Te Executive Management Committee has helped us build out a strong agenda for the conference. We will enjoy a deep dive into the world of fintech and technology with Trent Fleming and Jimmy Sawyers, with a follow-up panel comprised of bankers discussing their banks’ successes and challenges. MBA has invited Congressman Blaine Luetkemeyer and American Bankers Association Senior Vice President James Ballentine to discuss the Washington political landscape. We welcome Dan Meers, who is more widely known as KC Wolf — the Kansas City Chief ’s mascot, to talk about his personal journey of perseverance.

Of course, the Executive Management Conference is a special event because it is about much more than the agenda. Tere will be ample opportunities to network and connect with peers in a festive atmosphere. We’ll also host our silent auction to support the Missouri Bankers Foundation. And, we are thrilled to once again present our annual contribution to Segs4Vets, a nonprofit entity that provides segways for veterans. Tanks to our members’ generous donations and support, MBA has been able to contribute more than $700,000 to Segs4Vets over the years.

We hope you’ll choose to join us this year at Te Ritz-Carlton St. Louis for the 2021 Executive Management Conference. It will be an event full for friendship, learning and, critically, dialogue about what to expect for our industry in the year ahead. You can find the brochure and registration materials on our website at mobankers.com. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to the MBA education staff. We are here for you!
