EDUCATION & MARKETING

School of Bank Management Provides Tools for Next Career Steps By Jackson Hataway, Executive Vice President of Communications, Marketing & Member Services

With the end of 2021, it’s hard to believe that we will have experienced almost a full year of in-person programming at MBA after a nearly a full year of no in-person programming. We have watched as bankers made up for lost time by embracing conferences and seminars to their fullest potential. Our next major milestone as we enter 2022 will be our School of Bank Management.

Last year, we were able to host the School of Bank Management in person. However, because of COVID-19 safety measures, the school was postponed until June 2021. Tat timing was difficult for many prospective attendees who were taking long-delayed summer vacations. Tis year’s school will be Jan. 31 through Feb. 4, the traditional time frame for the school. We welcome you to add this school to your professional credentials, and we are excited that recent modernizations to the curriculum will make the experience even better for our students.

Te school operates over the course of two years. Our faculty is comprised of experienced bankers and experts who will challenge you to be your best while answering any and all

banking questions that may arise. Students in the first year take part in sessions that cover almost every aspect of banking. Second year students take part in a bank simulation program leveraging technology that is used at national level Graduate Schools of Banking. Students are placed in teams that compete to make the best financial and operational decisions for their banks as economic conditions change around them. For anyone who is considering management and even senior management careers in banking, this educational experience is critical to fully appreciating how the various parts of the bank operate and interact.

Beyond our School of Banking, the first quarter of 2022 also hosts our School of Compliance and School of Lending. Both of these exceptional schools have become critical elements in the career development of bankers in our state. We encourage you to consider how our MBA schools could bring value to your career or the careers of the staff around you and to sign up for MBA’s banking schools in 2022!
