I live my baptismal call, in and beyond ministry, by trying to live an outward-reaching Catholicism, not an inward-facing Catholicism. To me, knowing God’s unconditional love means unconditionally loving and appreciating the beautiful, complicated humanity of everyone I meet, and sharing that love before I even get the opportunity to talk about my faith. I love talking to people, especially my non-Catholic peers, about their diverse relationships with faith, and gleaning how I can better reach those who are not active members of the Church through music. I choose varied music each Mass, from traditional hymns, to contemporary composers like Matt Maher, to best support the worship experience of every heart in the community.

My baptismal call also compels me to love the liturgy, to cherish every opportunity to worship and pray together with and as brothers and sisters, the gathered body of Christ, rejoicing in this one faith and one baptism.
