El Pollo Loco has chosen COO Maria Hollandsworth to serve as interim president and CEO while the company conducts a national search for a new leader. The Mexican cuisine restaurant’s previous president, CEO
and director, Larry Roberts, left the company on Nov. 2 after more than 10 years with El Pollo Loco. To ensure a smooth transition, Roberts will continue to provide consulting services to the company through Dec. 28, 2023.
“Larry has been an instrumental part of El Pollo Loco’s history as a public company, from serving as our CFO during our initial public offering in 2014 to leading the company as our CEO for the past two years,” Board Chairman William Floyd said. “On behalf of the board, I want to thank Larry for his leadership and valuable contributions to El Pollo Loco over the past 10 years. It has been a privilege to work with Larry and we wish him the best.”

Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) announced Anna Faktorovich as the new vice president, brand management for KFC U.S. She will report to Nick Chavez, chief marketing officer of KFC U.S. In this new role, Faktorovich will oversee brand marketing communications strategy, planning and execution, including external-facing brand positioning, advertising, media, public relations, social media, promotions and partnerships, influencer and celebrity marketing, in-store merchandising, packaging and digital creative.

street food restaurant chain, where she spent the last year as chief brand officer and was responsible for brand strategy, 360 guest experience, digital product, customer data and analytics, content, media, creative and communications. Before Bartaco, Faktorovich spent three and a half years at Cava, a fast-casual restaurant brand, as senior vice president, brand and marketing.

Noodles & Company announced board member Drew Madsen to serve as interim CEO. Concurrently, the board has initiated a comprehensive search for a new permanent CEO to lead the company into its next phase of growth. Madsen’s appointment follows the decision by the board to transition to new leadership, resulting in Dave Boennighausen’s departure as CEO.
Madsen brings a wealth of experience in the restaurant industry to the role of interim CEO. He has extensive restaurant industry leadership experience, and was most recently president of Panera Bread.
