alike. The National Restaurant Association Show is no exception to the rule and offers attendees and exhibitors a variety of different networking opportunities throughout the four-day event.
The two primary ticketed networking
events are the Young Professionals Party and the Industry Night Out. Tickets go on sale for both in January. The former is a place for young professionals to meet new friends, learn about other areas of foodservice and indulge in appetizers and beverages. Meanwhile, the Industry Night Out will take place at the Time Out Market. There, attendees can enjoy a hand- selected array of food and drink via a “Taste the Market” presentation. “Industry Night Out is a great way to get together on Monday night; you get to meet everybody, and you’ll also become fast friends with people who are sitting next to you,” Rodgers says. “The networking is great.”
The show will also feature about
six different “meetup” events on the show floor focused on certain aspects of the foodservice industry (e.g., lodging, convenience stores, etc.). This networking opportunity was introduced — and was well received — last year. The sessions, which are overseen by a moderator, last about 30 minutes and give attendees a chance to drop in, talk shop and get to know one another. “The meetups are a great way to connect with people that you might pass by quickly on the show floor,” Rodgers points out.
It Pays to Register Early As with anything in life, it pays to
grab your spot early for the National Restaurant Association Show. Registration opened in September for the early birds, but now an advanced rate is available until April 1, 2024. Attendees can save money by registering before that date and enjoy expanded access to hotel and flight options.
