long. Bible classes were held in small groups. Bible teachers taught multiple classes in the mornings, multiple times to make sure our groups were small enough. I could go on an on, and at times, this sounds like a story that would be shelved under fiction, but it is all true! I would be remiss if I didn’t talk about the enormous help, work and support that we received from Bonclarken!

WOW! Did Bonclarken ever step up and move to new levels! Bonclarken is ready to serve anyone that deems it safe to re- turn to campus for retreats, conferences, meetings and the like as soon as the state of North Carolina allows. Chip Sherer, President of Bonclarken, led the way! Lynn Rogers and Susan Frohlich were just fantastic in helping with record keeping, emails, communication and all of the office support that is necessary to run camps during a pandemic. Guest Services, Housekeeping, Recreation, Maintenance and all departments ALL pitched in and did their part to help make camp a great success! We are so thankful for the Bonclarken Staff! We sang each night, “Counting Every Blessing” by Rend Collection. We felt deep meaning of this text this summer.

There were many times that we couldn’t see what was ahead of us, but we are surely counting our blessings because dur- ing this season of camp, as always, God has been so good to us! What a blessing it is to dwell together in unity on the mountain each summer. We are truly blessed to live, learn and

grow on the mountain. As we leave our worship each evening, we play the hymn entitled, “All the Way My Savior Leads Me”, which is a setting as recorded by Chris Tomlin. Jesus truly led us through this journey of camp during a pandemic. During this journey, we were dependent upon

Jesus to help us each hour, each day and each week. The scripture from Colossians 2: 6 – 7, we read, “So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives

in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.” We are filled with thankfulness for all we have seen and all we have been through during this journey through the camps at Bonclarken this summer. What a blessing this summer has been!?
