Northeast Presbytery Receives New Student of Theology At the recent Spring 2020 meeting of Northeast Presbytery,
ARPC, held at the Hyo Shin Presbyterian Church, Flushing, NY, Mr. Gun Shik Yang was received as a Student of Theology under the care of Northeast Presbytery. Mr. Yang is a ruling elder at the Hyo Shin Church and a recent
graduate of Gordon-Conwell Seminary with a Master of Divinity degree. Mr. Yang is also a talented vocal artist with a Master of Music Performance degree from the Manhattan School of Music. In addition to being a choir director at Hyo Shin Church he is
on the staff of the Metropolitan Opera House, New York City, NY. Mr. Yang is married with four children. Mr. Yang is continuing his studies for a Th.M. Degree and also
preparing for licensure by Northeast Presbytery. The Session of Hyo Shin Church enthusiastically endorsed Mr. Yang stating: “Mr. Yang has had the opportunity to preach at Hyo Shin Church dur- ing the early morning service. He has done a wonderful job as he preached from GOD’s Word. One mark of Christ- centered preaching is to preach for changed lives. This is exactly what Gun Shik Yang does through his preaching and his conducting the church choir. Through his evangelism training his passion for the lost is very evident.” The accompanying photograph shows Mr. Yang receiving a copy of the Reformation Study Bible from the Moderator of Northeast Presbytery, the Rev. Online Vacation Bible School
Highlands Presbyterian Church in Grayson, GA hosted an online VBS. Children watched each morning at 10:30 to learn that Life is WILD but God is GOOD. Daily emails were sent out along with suggested crafts and snacks for the parents.?
