Trinity Presbyterian Church of Chatham, ON, hosted a two-night youth camp Canada Youth Retreat

February 10-12, 2023. The theme was Remember Your Baptism, and four students from Gillespie Divinity School brought the messages. On Friday evening, Dave Van Kesteren (Trinity, Chatham) encouraged the participants in their baptism into Christ’s death and suffering. Saturday morning, Micah Bartsch (Grace, Woodstock) spoke on our calling in baptism to walk in obedience. That afternoon, Jason Tucker (Grace, Woodstock) spoke on identity in Christ through baptism, and Jordan VanA- merongen (Grace, Woodstock) wrapped everything up after supper encouraging 

The students also participated in student-led music, and a collection of games. They shared many excellent meals and snacks provided both by generous donations and the cooking efforts of Jessica Bartsch and Kristen VanTil (both Trinity, Chatham). Sunday morning all teens and volunteers attended morning worship at Faith ARP in Tillsonburg and were hosted for a lovely lunch before being dismissed for home. Five of the seven Ontario ARP congregations sent participants, as well as area OPC, Canadian Reformed, and Free Reformed churches. Organizers hope to make it an annual winter event.
