Depth Control System FireFly Depth Control systems have been proven to last up to four times longer. Our original units are still in service after twelve years, and most have not needed any maintenance since installation. • Eliminate rattling cutter heads. • Zero-maintenance greaseless pivots with replaceable polymer bearings. These high-strength bearings are designed for harsh, dirty environments and provide reduced vibration and long service life.
• Large 1-inch (2.54-cm) diameter stainless steel pins provide higher strength, better wear, and no corrosion.
• Proven depth control geometry: this linkage provides minimum blade pitch change for the highest quality cut while changing depth on-the-go.
• High-strength clamping actuator mount: actuator is clamped on the shaft to prevent damage to actuator mount hole, yet still allows for freely pivoting movement.
