Duane says, “Dana has been a huge sup- porter for me and a wonderful Mom for Devon. After nearly 30 years of marriage, every day gets better and better.”
MOVING ON Duane says, “I was very fortunate to
work for Turf-Seed whose philosophy was very family-oriented. Bill Rose took great care of me and my family for many years. That meant more to me than he could ever know.”
Turf-Seed sold to The Scotts Miracle- Gro Company in 2006. Duane says, “The Scotts Company knows the concept of branding and marketing as well as any in our industry. While the corporate climate was more regimented than a family-owned business, they
took care of me as an individual and I learned much more about procedures from them.”
Scotts closed their wholesale turfgrass operations in December of 2011. Duane was unemployed for three days. He left Scotts on December 31 and started at Grassland Oregon on January 4, 2012.
