Kesmac 2200 Do-It-Yourself (DIY) Sod Harvester Option Kesmac offers a “DIY” Roll or Slab option on the 2200 model Sod Harvester with Floating Head. A single operator can drive and stack sod using the duplicate set of controls in the stacking station. Operating with a two person crew, the driver has the traditional controls in the operator station. Mounted radar detection, when activated, automatically stops the sod harvester when an object comes into its path. At the rear, a single operator has an emergency tether cord which (when disconnected by falling or pulling) will stop the sod harvester. Controls are in place to operate the sod harvester from the tractor seat or from the back. The kit at the back includes: steering wheel, depth control, auto-steer, micro adjustment, harvester controls, forward and reverse, variable speed and roll-up control. The “Do-It-Yourself” option is ideal for small operations or when one-person sod harvesting is needed, offering 16- to 24-inch widths of cut in rolls or slabs.
