Harry Gill served as SFMA’s second president from 1982 – 1983. His commitment to the sports field profession and his desire and efforts to lay the groundwork for the fledgling SFMA to succeed are legendary among those who were fortunate to have known him. Tis is the highest award SFMA bestows. It was presented to TPI member Chad Price, CSFM, CFB, Carolina Green Corp.


SFMA Announces Field of the Year


Award Recipients Each year, the SFMA Field of the Year Awards spotlight the members and their programs that excelled that year in providing quality, safe playing surfaces. It is the industry’s highest honor to members who manage baseball, football, soccer, softball, and other sporting playing surfaces at the professional, collegiate, school (K-12) and parks and recreation levels. Te 2022 Field of the Year Award recipients also were acknowledged at the Awards Banquet during the 2023 SFMA Conference & Exhibition.
