In addition, Tradition fine fescue mix was seeded in the out-of-play areas for improved stabilization and appearance after a late inspection by Mr. Nicklaus. 100 percent of American Dunes’ annual profit will be given to Te Folds of Honor Foundation to assist in its mission of providing educational scholarships to spouses and children of America’s fallen and disabled service members. LOVING acquires Babcock Ranch Sod Farm in Fort Myers, FL LOVING expands their regional footprint once again with the recent addition of the Babcock Ranch Sod Farm located in Ft. Myers, Florida. LOVING and Kitson Partners worked diligently on the framework of the arrangement to ensure a smooth transition for employees, clients, and vendors. “We are beyond excited to build upon the rich history that has been created over the past 23 years at the Babcock Ranch Sod Farm” says Mike Haynes, Founder and President at LOVING. “Tis is a farm that produces top-notch quality sod from a top- notch quality team. SiteOne® Continues to Make Acquisitions SiteOne® Landscape Supply, Inc. finished up 2020 with two acquisitions. Dirt and Rock, LLC, joined SiteONe, effective December 30. Dirt and Rock serves the Lake Oconee, GA, market, which is just east of the Atlanta metro area, from a single location focused on the distribution of hardscapes, natural stone and landscape supplies to landscape professionals. SiteOne then announced that Stone Center of Richmond, LLC,

and Stone Center of Fredericksburg, LLC, (collectively, “Stone Center of Virginia”) joined SiteOne, effective December 31, 2020. Stone Center of Virginia serves the Richmond and Fredericksburg, VA, markets with two locations focused on the distribution of hardscapes, natural stone, and landscape supplies to landscape professionals. Stone Center was the 11th acquisition in 2020. Lucky Landscape Supply LLC, Katy, Texas, was SiteOne’s first 2021 acquisition. Lucky Landscape serves the Greater Houston market from a single location that is focused on the distribution of nursery products to landscape professionals. Lucky Landscape provides SiteOne with their fourth dedicated nursery branch within the Houston MSA. In April, SiteOne Landscape Supply acquired Arizona Stone & Architectural Products and Solstice Stone (collectively, “AZ Stone and Solstice”). AZ Stone and Solstice operates seven locations throughout Arizona and two locations in the Las Vegas, NV, market. Te locations owned by AZ Stone and Solstice throughout the two states focus on the distribution of hardscapes, natural stone, and landscape supplies to landscape professionals. SiteOne’s first May acquisition was Minnesota’s Timberwall Landscape & Masonry Products. Timberwall serves the Twin Cities market with one location in Victoria, MN, focused on the distribution of hardscape products and landscape supplies to landscape professionals and homeowners. SiteOne also announced in May that Melrose Irrigation Supply and Sales has joined SiteOne. Melrose has six locations throughout the State of Florida focused on the distribution of irrigation, lighting, and drainage products. On May 10, SiteOne announced it had acquired Rock & Block Hardscape Supply, which serves the San Diego, Southern Orange County, and Inland Empire markets in California through two locations. “Rock & Block is a true market leader and a great fit with SiteOne as we expand and extend our existing hardscapes presence in Southern California,” said Doug Black, chairman and CEO of SiteOne Landscape Supply. Tis was SiteOne’s third acquisition of the month and fifth of 2021.
Bethel Farms Introduces SodPods Bethel Farms has introduced a new product—SodPods. Te idea behind it is modernizing grass plugs to educate consumers on what a grass plug is and the benefits of using it as a way to improve their lawn. Te main use is placing it in bare or sparse sections of the lawn as “patches” for quick repair. Bethel Farms also presented two Do-It-Yourself (DIY) projects—a backyard checkerboard and a green walkway—in YouTube videos with “Te Lawn Care Nut.” Te two projects show the endless possibilities of a SodPod.
Turf Connections Launches New Website Turf Connections, a TPI member and sod producer of natural grass throughout North and South Carolina, has launched a completely redesigned website at
TurfConnections.com. Te new website was developed to serve as a lawn care informational resource as well as to educate homeowners and landscapers on the benefits of the zoysia, bermudagrass, and tall fescue turfgrass sod grown at the firm’s four Carolinas sod farm locations.
