EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR’S MESSAGE
Jeff Curwen, CAE WSCA Executive Director
Why Attending Our State Association Annual Conference Matters
In a world where your profession is constantly evolving, staying connected to the people and ideas shaping the field isn't optional —
it's essential. Attending WSCA Connect 2026 is one of the most valuable investments you can make in your career, and here's why you shouldn't miss it.
Learn What You Can't Find Online Yes, there are webinars, podcasts, and endless articles at your fingertips. But the conference delivers something different: curated, high-quality education designed specifically for chiropractors in our state, addressing the regulatory changes, local market shifts, and emerging challenges that affect your work every day. Sessions are led by practitioners who have faced the same problems you face — not generic trainers reading from a slide deck.
Build Relationships That Last
The most important professional connections aren't made through LinkedIn — they're made in a hallway conversation between sessions or over lunch with someone you'd never have crossed paths with otherwise. The annual conference brings together colleagues from across the state, creating a rare opportunity to expand your network, find mentors, reconnect with former colleagues, and meet the next generation entering our field.
Have a Voice in Your Profession
The conference isn't just something that happens to you — it's a place where you can shape what happens to our profession.
Business meetings, committee discussions, and leadership forums give members a direct opportunity to weigh in on policy positions, advocacy efforts, and the direction of our association. If you're not in the room, someone else is making those decisions without you.
Recharge Your Passion
Day-to-day work can grind anyone down. Spending time alongside people who share your professional values — who understand the highs and frustrations of this career — is genuinely restorative. Most attendees leave the conference re-energized, with fresh ideas and renewed motivation that carries them through the rest of the year.
The Return on Investment Is Real
When you factor in the education credits, the contacts made, the tools and resources discovered, and the perspective gained, the conference pays for itself many times over. Your registration fee is not a cost — it's a career investment.
Special for Nonmembers
Nonmember DCs are welcome to attend, but we want as many as possible to join our numbers. Nonmembers can register with the membership special—a full year of standard WSCA membership along with your conference registration. Of course, if you don’t need to be a member to attend. If you don’t want to take us up on the special, simply call the WSCA office at 206-878-6055 to register.
Register today at
www.wscaconnect.com and make this year's conference the one that changes the trajectory of your professional life!
Meet Tyler Hoxworth, WSCA's New Membership Growth Coordinator
Please join us in welcoming Tyler Hoxworth as the Washington State Chiropractic Association's new Membership Growth Coordinator.
Tyler has spent his career serving people through nonprofit
organizations and houses of worship across the country, building strong relationships and helping communities grow. As a father of five and a passionate believer in chiropractic care, this role is especially meaningful to him. Both Tyler
and his wife have personally experienced life-changing relief from chronic pain through chiropractic after traditional approaches failed to provide lasting solutions.
Tyler is excited to connect with chiropractic offices across Washington—strengthening relationships with our current members while meeting practices that have yet to experience the value of WSCA membership. He looks forward to getting to know you and supporting the continued growth of chiropractic throughout our state.
