(B1) Longevity and Healthy Aging: Evidence-Based Integrative Strategies and Omega 3’s

Bailey Miller, ND Sponsored by Nordic Naturals Friday 10:15 - 11:00 am

Longevity is an emerging area of focus as interest increasingly shifts toward disease prevention and the promotion of healthy aging. This

presentation will explore the current understanding of longevity, including the distinction between lifespan and healthspan and an overview of the biological hallmarks of aging. The impact of lifestyle and nutrition will be discussed, along with the role of omega-3 fatty acids (EPA and DHA), in supporting healthy aging and longevity.

Dr. Miller grew up alongside her health-conscious parents, gained firsthand insight into the importance of health and living a holistic lifestyle. Her father is a chiropractor, running his own successful practice for the past 30 years. Her mother is a fitness instructor and loves all things exercise. Seeing both parents positively change the lives of others, she always knew that she wanted to be in a profession that bettered the lives of others.

She completed her undergraduate education with a Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. She then went on to complete a doctorate of naturopathic medicine from Bastyr University in San Diego.

Dr. Miller’s own health challenges, particularly with mold toxicity, has driven her passion to help and empower others on their healing journeys. She knows what it’s like to feel disconnected to your body.

She knows the feeling of isolation and the confusion caused from not feeling well. With naturopathic medicine, she learned to heal herself and wants to do the same for others.
