Brian Chan, DC a native of Kent, WA, is a second-generation chiropractor. He operates Coast Injury Medicine, a WSCA Leadership Level Corporate Partner. In this issue, he gives us a preview of the upcoming 3rd Annual Washington Med-Legal Conference
on February 28 in Renton. Dr. Chan graduated with honors and cum laude in 2002 from Palmer College of Chiropractic in San Jose, CA. He attended Brigham Young University in Provo, UT for his undergraduate studies. Although Dr. Chan loved the warm sunny Californian weather, he was happy to move home to Seattle to join the practice with his brother and father.
As a chiropractor, Dr. Chan’s specialty includes the treatment and management of work-related and whiplash injuries. He spends many weekends attending continuing education in the fields of whiplash treatment and work injury management. In 2009, he became a graduate of the Spine Research Institute of San Diego’s Whiplash and Brain Injury Traumatology program, which offers the most in-depth, science-based training available today covering the entire spectrum from the physics of motor vehicle collisions to human biomechanics to diagnostic and management. In 2010, he completed the Advanced Certification in Whiplash and Brain Injury Traumatology, the highest achievement offered by the Spine Research Institute of San Diego. He is an active member of the Washington State Chiropractic Association.

It is the policy of the WSCA to produce publications for the following purposes: to keep the membership informed on issues of concern and current news; to improve communication and cooperation between members of the profession, and between the profession and the WSCA; to promote and advance the activities, goals and objectives of the WSCA; to provide a forum for input and exchange regarding the direction of healthcare and the chiropractic profession; and to provide a venue for promotion of the WSCA’s corporate membership while providing financial support to the WSCA.
Display Advertising Policy
It is the policy of the WSCA to extend display advertising opportunities in Plexus only to those companies and/or individuals who choose to affiliate with the WSCA as Corporate Partners. DCs who maintain outside business interests in addition to their chiropractic practice are invited to increase their involvement as Corporate Partners and thus enjoy the privilege of advertising their products in Plexus.
