The Baldwin Group—A respected brokerage and benefits administrator with deep experience in healthcare solutions. And,

Affinity Benefits—A team highly experienced in structuring coverage tiers, enrollment management, and member support.

Together, these organizations help provide WSCA members competitive, stable group rates on a variety of coverage levels— not limited packages, not one-size-fits-all benefits, but genuinely flexible choices that practices can select based on their needs, staff composition, and budget.

In other words, it’s a health plan made for chiropractic clinics—not adapted to them.

Coverage that Serves More than Just the Chiropractor

One of the most valuable features of the WSCA plan is that non-DC staff and dependents are also eligible for coverage. Receptionists, CAs, massage therapists, billers, front-desk coordinators—these are the people who keep clinics running with precision and patient-centered care. Being able to extend healthcare benefits to them isn’t just a gesture of appreciation—it’s a recruitment tool, a retention strategy, and a cornerstone of building professional workplace culture.

Today’s healthcare workforce is mobile. Talented clinical and administrative professionals know they have employment options. Offering health benefits is one of the most reliable ways to keep great staff long-term and reduce turnover costs.

The fact that the WSCA plan extends beyond the chiropractor is not a small detail—it’s a transformative one.

Membership Has Meaning: Eligibility Requirements

The one requirement is simple and intentional:

Any Doctor of Chiropractic who wishes to enroll in the plan must be a WSCA member.

Why is that important?

Because association strength relies on participation. Greater membership generates greater leverage, increased bargaining power, and more stability for the health plan itself. The more members who participate, the stronger the pool becomes, and the more competitive rates can remain over time.

The WSCA Health Plan is not just a benefit of membership—it is sustained by membership. And when you enroll, you’re not just buying insurance. You’re strengthening your profession.

“One chiropractor purchasing insurance individually has very little leverage. But when hundreds of buyers come together through their professional association, that buying power multiplies— and becomes something entirely different.”

A Plan that Reflects Practical Reality

Running a clinic means managing uncertainty—patient flow, payer behavior, economic conditions. Healthcare coverage shouldn’t be another unpredictable variable.

With the WSCA health plan, clinics gain:

 Access to group pricing normally reserved for large employers

 Multiple plan tiers to match different cost and coverage needs

 Eligibility for staff and dependents  A benefits structure designed around chiropractic practice realities

 A membership-powered model that grows stronger with participation

For many clinics, this isn’t just a better option—it’s the option that keeps health coverage affordable, competitive, and sustainable long-term.

Disability and Whole Life Insurance

Another benefit available to WSCA members in 2026 is group-rate disability insurance and whole life insurance. Through our partners at MassMutual Northwest and Stanford Financial Strategies, members can access these coverage plans if they meet certain criteria. Namely, they must have ten employees to be eligible. But don’t worry—they don’t have to be full-time or even W-2 employees. Contractors and 1099s (outside billers, IT contractors, janitors, landscapers, etc.) can be used to meet the minimum requirement.

WSCA members will be receiving more information about these products from Donya Alexander and CJ Stanford in the coming weeks.
