CAI Outreach Committee Joins Surfrider Beach Cleanup

The CAI-OC Outreach Committee proudly participated in the Annual Surfrider Foundation’s Beach Cleanup on August 24, 2025, joining forces with local volunteers to make a meaningful impact on our coastline. Together, the community collected an incredible 433 pounds of trash in just one day. Our Committee collected 30 pounds of debris, helping to protect marine life and preserve the beauty of our beaches.
This event was a powerful reminder that collective action matters. While 30 pounds may seem small compared to the total amount collected, it represents our share of a much bigger effort, proof that when individuals come together with a common purpose, the results are extraordinary.
Every bottle, wrapper, or piece of plastic removed prevents harm to ocean life and reduces pollution that would otherwise wash further into our ecosystems. Participating in events like these reinforces our commitment to making a difference both on and off the job site.
At the heart of the Outreach Committee’s mission is a simple yet powerful belief: small acts of service create big change. Volunteering
allows us to give back to the communities we serve, not just through our professional work, but also by supporting causes that benefi t everyone. The beach cleanup was more than just collecting trash; it was about protecting natural resources, raising awareness of environmental stewardship, and fostering teamwork among volunteers.
The Outreach Committee is dedicated to service projects that extend beyond our day-to- day roles. By engaging in activities such as the Surfrider Beach Cleanup, we not only support environmental health but also strengthen the bonds between our members and the communities we represent.
Looking ahead, the Committee remains committed to fi nding opportunities to serve— whether through environmental initiatives, community support projects, or outreach programs that align with our mission of making positive change.
