NEW EMPLOYEES & PROMOTIONS ERWIN LAW, LLC ANNOUNCES DAN HAWKINS AS NEW PARTNER, TIM STANTON AS NEW ASSOCIATE
CHICAGO, April 5, 2016 – Erwin Law, LLC announced, today, the promotion of lead trial attorney Daniel Hawkins to firm partner. According to firm founder Jim Erwin, “Dan has helped strengthen our litigation practice, and has done an excellent job for our clients since joining the firm. I look forward to working with him as a partner as we grow other areas of our practice, and further enhance our client service.”
As lead trial attorney, Hawkins has concentrated his practice on the litigation of real estate disputes, complex commercial cases, and construction defect cases, representing a diverse base of clients including condominium associations, commercial landlords, corporate entities and entrepreneurs.
Hawkins graduated from Michigan State University with a B.S. in Construction Management, working as a construction manager before receiving his J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law in May, 2011. He has been licensed to practice in Illinois since November, 2011.
Prior to joining Erwin Law, LLC, Hawkins practiced as a litigation attorney for Brown, Udell, Pomerantz, and Delrahim, where he represented Chicago’s premier real estate developers in commercial litigation. He has also worked for the Chicago Board of Education where he selected and evaluated new leased facilities, negotiated leases, and drafted license agreements.
Additionally, Erwin Law, LLC welcomed attorney Tim Stanton to the firm. According to firm founder Jim Erwin, “Tim brings a diverse and complementary array of skills and experience that will make an immediate and long lasting impact on our clients and on our firm.”
Stanton received his B.B.A. from Baylor University with majors in both real estate and marketing before earning his J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law. He complemented his Business Law Certificate Program there in May, 2012.
Prior to joining Erwin Law, Stanton practiced as a bankruptcy attorney at a major bankruptcy firm in Chicago, where he represented over 900 clients in their Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy cases. While in law school, he worked at a local law firm as a law clerk in the litigation and dispute resolution practice. Stanton is licensed in Illinois and in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.

It is with the greatest pleasure that Ronald E. Foster, CEO and owner of Foster Premier, Inc. announces the promotion of Jamie Catherine Falconer to President and Danette Smusz to Executive Vice-President of Foster Premier!
Jamie Falconer has been with Foster Premier for the last 19 years. She began her career as the onsite manager of a condominium property on Michigan Avenue.
Additionally,
she worked as a portfolio manager in Chicago. She became the manager of the City Properties and for the last 10 years has been a Vice President of the company at the North Office of Foster Premier. Jamie holds an MBA degree and CMCA, AMS, and PCAM certifications from The Community Association Institute (CAI).
Danette Smusz has been with Foster Premier for the last 21 years. She began her career with Foster Premier as a portfolio manager in the western suburbs. For the past 10 years she has been a Vice President of the company at the South Office of Foster Premier. Danette will continue to be based in Foster Premier’s South Office. Danette has both
CMCA and AMS certifications from CAI.
Both Jamie and Danette have extensive experience working with Condominiums, Townhome, Homeowner Associations, and Active Adult Associations. Both have excellent working relationships with leaders in the vendors and service industries serving Associations. Continued growth and leadership within Property Management are expected under their leadership.
Ron Foster noted in his announcement at the Spring company meeting that Jamie and Danette would be accepting more leadership roles as he will be spending less time involved with the hands-on management of the Foster Premier. While Ron will be spending more time traveling, he will continue to be involved and a crucial part of the management team.
