Every board member shall vote on issues presented in the most informed and prepared manner with full attention to fiduciary duties inherent in each decision. Though this may call upon board individuals to volunteer their time, it can also be a very rewarding experience.


Owners may also serve on select committees, or rather “commissions” (as may be more appropriate), in support to the board members as they must ultimately make informed decisions. Accordingly, owners may bring their own expertise, experience, or interests to the fore as they volunteer for any such standing or ad hoc opportunities for service. Owners who participate by volunteering their time, their talents, their skills, and their energy will need to sense their inclusion at the Round Tables of their associations. The larger and more diverse the expansive Round Table may be, the more vibrant and harmonious the association. Passions about specific concerns often dictate owners’ desires for opportunities to make a difference in the community. The lack of timely or effective communication may drive some owners to volunteer their services to fill  appeal or with maintenance standards may also create a stir  to involve owners’ participation.
