AGC of California members advo-

cated for a thoughtful and balanced approach to proposed mandates, urg- ing lawmakers to consider the on-the- ground impacts of legislation on con- tractors, subcontractors, and the workers who build and maintain California’s essential infrastructure. Tey expressed support for legislation such as SB 425 (Rubio) on private proj- ect liability reforms, AB 1421 (Wilson) on alternative infrastructure funding mechanisms, and AB 296 (Davies) to expand K-12 career technical education pathways in construction. Members met with over 40 different legislative offices during the event. As AGC of California continues to lead

on policy, safety, and workforce devel- opment, Legislative Day 2025 affirmed the power of presence. By engaging directly with legislators and providing real-world insight into how proposed policies will impact projects, AGC of California members once again helped shape a stronger future for the industry and all Californians.
