Honoring Service, Supporting Ministry By Cathy Wilson, ARP WM Historian I
n 2015 the ARPWM President, the late Barbara Sherrill, wrote a helpful article, “ARP Women’s Ministries 4-1-1 Finances.” She shared this history and the importance of generous support of our various denomi- national ministries:
Over the years since 1818, the women of the ARP Church have continued to raise money in numerous ways for our denomination. For many years, in addition to raising money for foreign missionaries, Women’s Ministries was an avenue for the women across our denomination to support the many ministries and the agencies of the ARP Church. In recent years, those agencies have done, and continue to do, a fantastic job of raising support for their various ministries. And, the women continue to support them by giving their time, talent and money, through their local churches. Under its present structure, Women’s Ministries’ vision statement is: “To encourage and equip the community of ARP women to minister together for God’s glory and purpose.” ARP Women’s Ministries, at the denominational level, is focusing on the spiritual growth and equipping of women, in order to help ensure the development and growth of vibrant local church women’s ministries. With our heritage in tow, we are moving forward, in building our legacy. And, we can’t do it without you. Please consider making a contribution to help us equip women in the ARPC to lead and to serve in their churches, communities, and globally.
Budget support given to ARP WM by individual churches. This was formerly known as a contingency fee which was a per member assessment. We are no longer requesting a per member fee.
