Holiday Season. UniverSoul Circus is departing Baltimore to open in


Queens (NY) September 5 for a month-long run at Roy Wilkins Park. Cirque du Soleil’s Ovo plays Greensboro (NC) September 4–7,


followed by gigs in Oklahoma City


(OK) September 11–14; New Orleans (LA) September 18–21; and San Antonio (TX) September 25–28. Meanwhile, Cirque’s only other domestically touring unit — Luzia — opens on the circus lot at Tysons II (VA) outside Washington DC September 6 and plays thru mid-October. Garden Bros. Nuclear Circus closes out Buffalo (NY)


September 2, skips across state to Poughkeepsie for a September 4–8 engagement before heading south to Hampton (VA) for a September 25–28 gig. Vazquez Circus closes out Atlanta (GA) September 7 before trekking to- ward New Jersey while FL!P hits Braintree (MA) September 2 and moves on to Yorktown Heights (NY) for a September 5–16 engagement. Circus Fund donations are used to help the OABA maintain the right of circuses and USDA licensed performing animal owners to provide Americans with educational exhibits and performances of exotic animals. Funds allow the Association to hire professionals to assist with legislative and regulatory challenges that threaten our members’ businesses. Those who contribute at least $25 will be listed in our Circus Fund Contribution Report in monthly ShowTime magazine as well as in the annual Midway Marquee Directory.
