Bridging the Gap (cont’d from pg. 17)

Maintenance procedures taught during training may differ in frequency or detail from those listed in the manual.

Documenting Changes Operators should request that any undocumented

features, procedures, or error codes be formally add- ed to the manual or documented through an approved addendum. This ensures consistency across teams and supports long-term safety and reliability. Whether it’s a change to an operational procedure or a modified main- tenance interval, all approved deviations from the manu- al must be documented. These records should be: Reviewed and approved by the manufacturer. Stored with the O&M manual or in a centralized system. Accessible for audits, inspections, and future training.

By fostering open communication with manufacturers,

aligning training with documentation, and proactively managing preventive maintenance, operators and suppli- ers can build a culture of safety that lasts long after the ride opens to the public.
