Bill Biggerstaff died April 7, 1 month 


and raised in Hickory, North Carolina.  when he was 3, the Cole Bros. Circus. Art and circus were his passion from the start, and he took any and all art


classes he could while attending school. After high school he joined the Navy for 4 years during the Korean War. He then attended the premier Art Center School in Los Angeles. Married and with two sons at this time, he was active


in the Joseph Andrew Rowe CFA tent in Los Angeles. He worked in various advertising agencies and also started free lancing for circuses he knew such as Dewayne Bros. Circus, Graham Bros Circus, Wallace and Clark Circus and the John Strong Circus, all West Coast shows. Norman Carroll of the Carroll Advertising Agency saw his work and Bill started doing the Ringling Bros. advertising for the West Coast. 


by Clifford Vargas to come on the road and do the Circus Vargas advertising. Bill not only did Circus Vargas’s advertising but produced the programs, posters, coloring books and even worked the front door.  Bill renewed his acquaintance with a performer on Circus


 Bill and Jan opened a printing and graphic design company in Las Vegas. Catering to circuses they spent 25 years establishing Graphics 2000 as a leading producer of print material including posters, tickets, coloring books, brochures etc. for most of the circuses across the country. After the death of Don Marcks, Graphics 2000 took over





publishing The Circus Report. Semi-retired, Bill worked full time on producing The Circus Report twice a month. A  labor of love, Bill continued to have an impact on the circus





and collecting circus print memorabilia and loved every ticket, poster and program in his collection. The Circus Fans of America honored the Biggerstaff’s


in September 2006 by chartering Tent #176 the Jan and Bill Biggerstaff Tent. Bill leaves behind his best friend and wife Jan, two sons,


Billy (Candace) and Kevin (Lawrence) Biggerstaff and two step sons, Tim (Jennifer), and Toby (Elizabeth) Bickmore; several grand and great grandchildren.
