Debbie’s Discernments The Best Gift of All
D
ear Family and Friends of the Industry, Most of you are finished up for the season and taking a long deserved break from the grueling
lifestyle we all live and love! It has been a rough season for many of you due to weather and possibly the economy. The old adage, “Better Days Ahead,” needs to be focused on to push forward for another year! For those of you who celebrate the birth of Christ, the
Christmas season, I am sure you are in full swing of gift buying, party going, decorating, card receiving, baking, sea- sonal song listening (my favorite) and all the other festivi- ties that surround this crazy but wonderful time of the year! What bothers me is the lack of knowledge on some people’s part of the true significance of this holiday! I am quite cer- tain most folks know it is the birth of Jesus Christ, but the details are fuzzy. In last year’s December article, I outlined the chronicle order of events leading up to His birth! Some of you were surprised at what I had to say but my writings were completely based on the Bible. Believing the total Christmas story takes a degree of faith. Many find it hard to believe Mary was a virgin, or that the Shepherds were led by a star. Faith is characterized by believing He exists and rewards those who seek Him, combined with trusting His promises and acting on His word. Simply put, Faith is believing in something you cannot see! The more you utilize

your faith (like a muscle) the stronger it becomes! The pos- itive results you are able to see from acting on your faith when they become reality, encourage you to pursue faith to a higher level. Faith is an act of the whole man, your mind, your emotions and your will. The promising purposes of faith vary from comfort and
hope to assurance and confidence, facilitating personal growth and connecting to values and beliefs. It drives ac- tion and encouragement as well as meaning and purpose. There is so much more I could expound on faith, maybe for a later time. I just got home from a long season and have mountains of work to do! Bottom line, God sent His Son into our world as a gift for
salvation to all mankind! Whatever your circumstances, you have a gift from God! I might add, a Christmas gift from God never expires! This gift lasts a lifetime with indescribable hope, joy, peace, strength and love! I am forever grateful God sent His Son so I could become His child! Let us not forget what this season is all about! He truly is the BEST GIFT OF ALL! Merry Christmas to all and may 2026 be blessed with Health and Happiness!
Always Your Friend, Debbie
