NIRI Elects Four New Board Members A


t its November 29 Annual Meeting, members of NIRI elected four professionals to serve on the NIRI Board of Directors. “I am delighted to welcome this outstanding


new class to the NIRI Board of Directors,” says NIRI President and CEO, Matt Brusch, CAE. “The key to NIRI’s long-term suc- cess is based on the willingness of volunteer leaders like these to selflessly donate their time and talent to the organization.” The four regular members (corporate IR practitioners and counselors)


elected to serve four-year terms (2024-27) are profiled below. “I’d like to take this opportunity to thank Katie Royce, CFA, who is completing her term as Board Chair, and Victoria Sivrais who is completing her Board service as Immediate Chair," Brusch added. “Finally, I thank the other members of the NIRI Board completing


their service this year: Darin Arita, CFA, IRC, Brook Wootton, IRC, and Richard Yerganian. Tese volunteer leaders have been instru- mental in successfully guiding NIRI through the past four years.”


Kimberly Esterkin, Vice Presi- dent, Investor Relations, ASGN Incorporated Esterkin has over 17 years of experi- ence in investor relations, finance, and corporate communications across industry sectors. She was part of the inaugural class of NIRI’s top “40 under 40” in investor relations and was featured in the Los Angeles Business Journal as one of the Top Women in Finance. She was previously Managing


Director at Addo Investor Relations and before that served as Vice Presi- dent of Investor Relations for a pre- IPO financial services company and Senior Vice President at a full-service investor and public relations firm in Los Angeles.


Earlier in her career Esterkin


was Manager of Investor Relations at Tetra Tech, where she supported an IR program that saw the company nearly triple its market cap. She also worked as an associate for Goldman Sachs’ Private Wealth Management Division.


Lisa Hartman, Vice President of Investor Relations and Corporate Communications, EnerSys Hartman has more than 20 years of experience spanning investor rela- tions, corporate communications, accounting, finance, and partner marketing. Her IR career highlights include developing and executing best-in- class IR strategies from the ground up, increasing management cred- ibility through crisis management including the COVID-19 pandemic and shareholder activism, leading cross functional teams through ESG strategy development and disclo- sure initiatives, and a successful career transition between complex industries. Prior to joining EnerSys in 2022, she was the Senior Vice President of Investor Relations at Redwood Trust, Inc. She has served a total of 12 years


as a board member on the NIRI Sili- con Valley and NIRI San Francisco chapters including the role of Presi- dent of the San Francisco chapter.


Heather Anne Kos, CPA, CMA, IRC, Senior Vice President, Investor Re- lations, Builders FirstSource, Inc. Kos has developed and implemented comprehensive IR programs for three Fortune 500 companies, effectively dealt with high-impact situations including earnings surprises and leadership changes, nimbly managed the communications of Navistar’s delisting by the NYSE and activist campaigns and has been nominated for several IR Magazine awards. She was recognized in the Institutional Investor “All-America Executive Team” in 2023. She is a Certified Public Accoun-


tant and Investor Relations Charter (IRC) holder. Kos is an active member of the


NIRI Senior Roundtable and served as a member of NIRI Certification Council and the NIRI Editorial Ad- visory Committee. She is also a Chi- cago NIRI Board Member, currently serving as Chair.


Michael Steele, CFA, IRC, VP, Fi- nance - Investor Relations & ESG, Zebra Technologies Steele has more than 25 years of multi-industry finance experience with large public companies span- ning investor relations, treasury, financial planning, mergers and acquisitions, sustainability, and corporate and commercial finance. In his current role at Zebra, he


has been recognized several times by Institutional Investor for one of the top investor relations programs in the sector. His team also launched the sustainability program at the company. He was previously VP Finance &


Investor Relations at Office Depot, a role he transitioned into following its acquisition of OfficeMax where he had led investor relations. Steele serves on the steering committee of the NIRI Senior Round- table and is active on the board of the NIRI Chicago chapter where he formerly served as Chair and as President.
