Samantha Brown, Esq., is a part of the general counsel group at Barker Martin. Sam began her career doing civil litigation, focusing her practice on community association law beginning in 2016. She has extensive litigation experience and an impressive track record. Sam has been a member of the board for numerous non- profit organizations, including the City/County Planning Department for Belvidere, Illinois, the Boone County Council on Aging, and the City Finance Committee, to name a few. She was also an elected Alderman for the City Council in Belvidere, Illinois. Sam prides herself on being a compassionate and diligent advocate through attentive and dedicated service to her clients, while finding unique and innovative solutions to problems.


Ann Hart is a commercial insurance advisor with HUB International Northwest, and specializes in community association and other real estate coverage. Her 20 years of combined experience in community association management, real estate, senior housing and rental management provides her with a unique foundation and understanding of the industry and how best to serve the associations she works with.


Ila Kane, CMCA, AMS, is a Community Association Manager at Trestle Community Management working in the HOA and Developer Practice working primarily with new and transitioning developments. She has been working in community association management in the greater Puget Sound for over three years. She’s a member of the WSCAI Made for Managers Day Committee and loves getting involved in every WSCAI event she can, even virtually.


Jeremy Newman, CPA, is the owner of Newman Certified Public Accountant, PC (“Newman CPA”), which provides audit and tax services for common interest realty associations – community associations – in the western states. Jeremy formed his firm in 2008, after working in controller and chief financial officer positions at a national senior housing company and a national homebuilder, as well as an audit manager with a “Big 4” audit firm. Newman CPA has grown annually, and has provided audit, review, tax, special projects, agreed-upon procedures engagements to thousands of associations. Our firm’s clients include single-family developments, condominiums, mixed-use, commercial, large-scale, high-rise, senior housing associations. The firm prepares articles for CAI and other industry group publications.


Valerie Oman, Esq. is a partner at Condominium Law Group, where she has practiced since 2009. She represents community associations on collections, general counsel, and governance issues. Valerie is passionate about providing high quality, practical legal services and solutions to her clients. Valerie graduated cum laude from Seattle University School of Law (2005). An active WSCAI volunteer, Valerie is a speaker at industry events, management seminars, and community associations, and contributes regularly to industry periodicals.


Allison Peryea, Esq. is an attorney shareholder at community association law firm Peryea Silver Taylor, P.S. in downtown Seattle. She has worked in the community association industry for eight years. Her practice focuses on dispute resolution including litigation, and also general counsel. She is a longtime member of the WSCAI Communications Committee and a former editor of the WSCAI chapter magazine, Community Associations Journal.


Caitlin Traub, CMCA, AMS, PCAM, currently serves as Trestle Community Management’s Large Scale and Active Adult Practice lead. Caitlin has been working in the community association management industry for over seven years, both as a large-scale, on-site manager in the Dallas-Ft. Worth market and in a portfolio and leadership capacity in the Seattle area. As an active WSCAI volunteer, she serves on the CA Day and Managers Only Meetings Committees. When she is not working, Caitlin enjoys traveling, finding any mountain to ski, and enjoying her new home in the Pacific Northwest.
