President’s Message


Robert Spillar Westpark Maintenance District Chapter President


I write to you with a profound sense of honor and excitement as I assume the role of President of CAI’s Orange County Chapter for 2024. It is both a privilege and a responsibility that I do not take lightly. As a homeowner leader who has been active on community boards for nearly 35 years, it’s a role I embrace, knowing that together we can accomplish remarkable things. First and foremost, I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to Angie Adams for her outstanding leadership during 2023. She has established a strong foundation for us and I am privileged to build upon it.


As we embark on this new year together, I am enthusiastic about what we can achieve as a collective force. When we collaborate, we have power—the principle that Together Everyone Achieves More (TEAM). CAI-OC is more than a professional organization: it’s a TEAM of passionate individuals with a shared vision of inspiring and empowering each other to create a positive impact in the community. I believe that the power of collaboration lies in the diverse perspectives of everyone in the group. Using CAI-OC’s rich tapestry of talents, we can foster growth through educational programs, community engagement, networking, advocacy, and mentorship initiatives. Our diversity is our strength, and as a united TEAM, there’s nothing we cannot achieve In the coming months, we will focus on the following initiatives:


Exceptional Education We will underscore the importance of educating and engaging HOA leaders by actively seeking individuals with untapped potential to sustain these efforts. Our focus includes enhancing educational opportunities for community managers through initiatives like the CMCA Test Study Groups, Manager Breakfasts, and the Mentorship Program. We will also begin developing a comprehensive library of articles and webinars, providing members with easy access to a wealth of knowledge, among other initiatives.


Dynamic Networking We will augment the return on investment for our business partners by establishing exclusive access to managers and expanding events that have proven to be successful.


Unwavering Advocacy We will work to increase manager knowledge of the advocacy efforts of CLAC.


I encourage open communication, feedback, and the sharing of ideas. Every voice matters. Your input is vital as we navigate the exciting opportunities and challenges ahead. I am grateful for the trust you’ve placed in me and I am committed to serving this organization with dedication, transparency, and unwavering passion. Let’s create an inspiring future for CAI-OC, where Together Everyone Achieves More.
