In a world where life can be fast-paced and demanding, it’s essential to pause and reflect on the values that truly matter. The October 17th CAI luncheon, titled “Aspire to Inspire,” provided an insightful journey into the power of self-love, kindness, and compassion with Gina H. Tabrizy as the speaker. With more than 20 years of experience as a therapist, Gina’s wisdom and insights left a lasting impression on all who attended.
Suit Up and Show Up: The idea of showing up for life, no matter what it brings, was a recurring theme. It’s a reminder that we have the strength within us to face life’s challenges with courage and resilience.
Trauma – Anything Less Than Nurturing: Our past experiences can shape our present. Recognizing the importance of nurturing ourselves and seeking healing from past traumas is a critical step toward a healthier and happier life.
Breaking Free from Negativity: Gina emphasized the significance of surrounding ourselves with positivity and letting go of negativity. In doing so, we create a more nurturing environment for personal growth.
The Power of Now: Living in the present moment was a key takeaway. The past is gone, and the future is uncertain. Therefore, we must make the most of today and embrace the opportunities it offers.
Self-Worth over Status: Shifting the focus from external achievements to our intrinsic self-worth is liberating.
Resisting Conformity:We are conditioned to follow the crowd, but Gina challenged us to recognize our individuality and believe that we deserve better.
Letting Go of Control:Accepting our powerlessness over certain aspects of life is an essential step in finding peace and contentment. Sometimes, it’s better to let go and allow life to unfold.

Self-Care: Taking time for self-love and self-care is not selfish; it’s a vital aspect of our well-being. By nurturing ourselves, we can better care for others.
Happiness Beyond Others’ Opinions: Gina’s
message urged us not to be overly concerned with what others think. True happiness comes when we stop seeking validation from external sources.
Affirmation of Deserving: Fill in the blank with what you believe you deserve. Recognizing your worth and embracing it is a powerful affirmation.
Mindfulness and Joy: Mindfulness allows us to create joy in our lives by being fully present and appreciating the moments we have.
Mastering Our Thoughts:Acknowledging that we are the masters of our lives means we can take control of our thoughts and change them for the better.
Silencing the Inner Critic: Gina encouraged us to put that nagging inner critic to rest. Replace self- criticism with self-compassion and self-love.
The “Aspire to Inspire” luncheon reminded us that our journey through life is guided by the love and compassion we show ourselves. By embracing these principles, we can find fulfillment, joy, and a deeper connection to our authentic selves. It’s a message that will resonate long after the luncheon’s end, inspiring positive change, and growth for all who attended.
