WINNING ENTRY { PEOPLE } MISCHIEF by Dr. Maice Scott, Columbia
THE “PEOPLE” CATEGORY HAD EIGHT ENTRIES. The category images display people ... individuals, couples, families, young and old. This year’s winner was Dr. Maice Scott, a pediatric dentist in Columbia. She said of this image, taken of her daughter, “It was a little too quiet in my home and I came into our living room to find my daughter playing with my makeup. I captured her sneaky smile, and if you
look closely, you can tell she’s wearing glitter eyeshadow and lip gloss.” Dr. Scott has been a multi-time cover winner through the years of the contest, and several of those images have featured her children. Her brother, Dr. Sainy Adel, Lee’s Summit, gave his sister some competition this year, as he won two categories in his first year entering. Members—don’t miss entering your images for the 2021 contest, which are due Wednesday, December 23. All categories of members—active, retired, student—are welcome to submit one entry in each of six categories. Details at
