Online & Auto Renew Options: The Easy Way to Pay Dues

he 2021 dues cycle and payment process is underway. We highly encourage you to take the easy way and pay online and set up auto renew. The following information will re- mind you about the membership renewal and dues process.


KEY POINTS


Dues should be paid in full or through an installment or auto renew plan, both of which should be established by January 1, 20 2 1. Dues and any voluntary contributions may be paid in one, total sum via a check, credit card or ACH/IC A payment, or members may choose to spread payments out through an installment or auto renew plan. There are no additional fees for any payment methods. If Installment or Auto Renew plan payments are cancelled before dues are paid in full for the current year, membership will be cancelled and all benefits will cease. Once you have renewed, you will receive in the mail from the ADA a membership decal for your office; however, starting last year, you will no longer re- ceive a hard copy membership card. This now can be accessed/downloaded from ADA.org/MyADA.


AUTO RENEW


The auto renew plan allows you to choose the pref- erence of a once-per-year payment or a 12-month payment plan that the MDA will process continu- ously from year to year (until a member asks the auto renew/payment to stop). Members are allowed to update/change their credit card, recognizing it will expire at some point or, in the event they wish to change to a different card to be used for future charges. However, to cancel any automated credit card charge, members will need to contact the MDA. Most important, each year members will be sent a notification, well in advance, notifying them of any changes to dues amounts (such as a dues increase) along with the ability to make any changes to their voluntary contribution amounts. After the notification time has passed, the first payment will be processed on December 10. The payment system automatically will email a receipt for the dues payment either annually or with each installment payment (monthly installments will be processed the 10th of each month).


VOLUNTARY CONTRIBUTIONS


When paying your dues online and setting up the auto renew option, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the various voluntary categories of ADPAC, MODentPAC, MDA Foundation and the Dental Well Being Foundation. For these entities, contributions with dues are the biggest fundraiser to support the important work of each. As with your auto renew dues payment, your voluntary contribution to any of these categories also will auto renew at the same amount as the previ-

COVID-19 created a time of crisis in our profession and the need for immediate information, action and support. The staff teams and volunteer leaders of the ADA, MDA and component societies worked diligently to serve members in the state of Missouri, and will continue to do so. ADVOCATED FOR & PREPARED DENTISTS TO REOPEN PRACTICES


Missouri Dental Practice Recovery Task Force Guidelines: MDA helped give Missouri government and dentists the confidence to safely reopen dental practices on May 4.


ADA Return to Work Interim Guidance & Patient Return Toolkits: Vast array of tools, forms, flowcharts and guidance with continued updates provided.


PPE:MDA worked with State of Missouri to get free PPE, with more than 775 supply orders filled for Missouri dentists, including N95 masks, and the ADA filled almost 900 KN95 mask orders for Missouri dentists. We’ll continue to seek solutions to supply issues.

Local Support: Component Societies provided virtual business meetings with updates and CE, including OSHA, allowing members


to connect with peers and receive valuable information.
