BENEFITS What’s In Your Wallet?
Don’t miss enhanced benefits: Check ADA Visa card to ensure it’s correct
T
his past July, ADA Business Resources announced its ADA Preferred Rewards Visa Signature
Card from U.S. Bank had a new look plus enhanced benefits/perks for cardholders.
It’s important to check your wallet to see if you have this new card! While you may think you still are using a card that is endorsed by the ADA and MDA, the card endorsement switched in 2015; thus you may have a card that is no longer endorsed by the ADA/MDA, thus your points/benefits are different and there are no royalties going to your Associations (as a source of non-dues revenue). Therefore, if the card in your wallet isn’t the ADA Preferred Rewards Visa card, please con- sider applying!
A quick way to know if you have the new card: The OLD card was silver with a small black ADA logo across the top; the NEW card has a dark blue background with a large, lighter blue ADA logo across the top (see sample images above).
Some things to note about the new ADA Preferred Rewards Visa Signature Card include:
New card applicants can earn 20,000 bonus points after they spend $5,000 on eligible purchases (net of credits/returns) in the first 90 days.
Existing cardholders will be eligible to earn 20,000 bonus points after they spend $125,000 per calendar year and no longer will be charged foreign transaction fees.
The ADA Preferred Rewards Visa card does not charge an annual fee and allows for points to be redeemed for travel on more than 150 airlines with no blackout dates.
The card offers two reward points per net $1 spent on all eligible state society purchases and five rewards points per net $1 spent on ADA products, such as the ADA Catalog items or registration for ADA Annual meetings.
According to ADA Business Resources, the average ADA Visa cardholder redeems approximate- ly 54,788 points per year. These points can be redeemed for more than $500 worth of gift cer- tificates, cash back or merchandise. When redeemed on travel, members can buy a plane ticket with average real value of over $800, which is equivalent to earning 1.7 points per $1 spent.
All new card applicants will receive the card with the new artwork. Existing cardholders are eli- gible for the new benefits immediately and should have been reissued the new card in October. For more information or to apply, visit

IT’S 2018 RENEWAL TIME!
Membership Dues New Option: Auto-Renew
I
t’s annual membership dues time, and this year, in addition to all cur- rent payment plans and processes, the MDA will offer an auto-renew option for dues payments. If a member choos- es this option, each year their member- ship automatically will be renewed and paid with their credit card on file. The auto renew plan will have the option of being a once-per-year payment or a 12-month payment plan that the MDA will process continuously from year to year until a member asks the auto-renew/payment to stop. Members are allowed to update/change their credit card, recognizing it will expire at some point or if they wish to change to a different card to be used for future charges. However, to cancel any auto- mated credit card charge, members will need to contact the MDA.
VOLUNTARY CONTRIBUTIONS
When paying your dues, please consid- er a contribution to the various volun- tary categories: ADPAC, MODentPAC, MDA Foundation and the Dental Well Being Foundation. For each of these, contributions with dues are the biggest fundraiser to support the important work of each entity. If someone other than you pays your dues or sets up installments/auto-pay, please inform them of the voluntary contributions you wish to make. Thank you for your generosity.
