DENTIST LISTINGS Faculty Positions

ATSU MOSDOH ADJUNCT FACULTY- DENTIST, ST. LOUIS: ATSU’s Missouri School of Dentistry & Oral Health is seek- ing applicants for the position of Adjunct Faculty-Dentist located at our clinic in St. Louis, MO. The responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to the following: Instruct, mentor and grade dental students according to MOSDOH’s criteria; Remain on the clinic floor and be accessible to the students during clinic hours; remain in com- munication with the CCU Directors (check electronic messages frequently for updates and changes); promote critical-thinking skills chair side and during treatment planning for patient care; Contribute to the educational process by attending faculty/staff meetings; and utilize and demonstrate evidence-based decision making skills when working with dental students. Candidates seeking this position must have a college degree plus postgraduate studies (DDS or DMD) with five to ten years experience in a variety of dental practice settings and experience teaching in a dental environment. This is a part-time position based on the St. Louis campus. This position will not begin until May 2015. The successful candidate will have the following qualifications, skills, and accomplishments: Excellent communication skills, self-directed and takes initiative. Must be highly skilled in general dentistry, with experience in a variety of dental practice/teaching environ- ments. UMKC CLINICAL ASSISTANT PROFESSOR, DIVISION OF DENTAL HYGIENE: Position 36651. The University of Missouri-Kansas City Division of Dental Hygiene is seeking a faculty member to fill the position of Clinical Assistant Professor. The position is a 100% benefit eligible, non-tenure track position, working four days per week (80% FTE). This is a temporary position; therefore, reappoint- ment in each year will be contingent upon need, funding availability and job perfor- mance based upon annual employment evalu- ations. The position duties include: teaching in the clinical entry level program clinic with first and second year hygiene students; serv- ing as didactic Course Director; providing service appropriate to the position; advancing the goals of the Division of Dental Hygiene Strategic Plan. Candidates must have experi- ence as a clinical dental hygienist. Experience as a clinical instructor is preferred. Required qualifications include: Master’s degree in dental hygiene education; unencumbered, active dental hygiene license in Missouri, or eligible for Missouri Licensure; expertise and experience as a dental hygienist; record of quality teaching and service appropriate to the rank; and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
