35+, Revolution Loop — a 5K run / walk, cornhole tournament, the Midway with family fun activities, delicious food, live music, and more.

Proceeds from Score for the Cure go to fund the research and advocacy initiatives conducted by JDRF with a lesser portion donated to Black Bear Foundation to support youth hockey initiatives to thank Black Bear Sports Group, Inc. for hosting and supporting the event at no charge to Score for the Cure.

Score for the Cure is led by Chapter President-Elect Nicole Skaro, CMCA, EBP (CIT Bank) and Business Partners Council Chairman Sean McCabe, EBP (SERVPRO of Upper Bucks, Germantown, and Pennypack / Bustleton). An extensive team of volunteers representing various businesses in the Delaware Valley round out the eager and

enthusiastic team. Among those volunteers are CAI Board Member David Dahan, Esq. (Hyland Levin Shapiro) and Suzanne Kulliver (Access Property Management), both of whom have sons with T1D. Although T1D may not have affected other volunteers personally, their commitment to the cause and event has been enormous.

“It’s been amazing to see such talented, driven business people come together for such a great cause,” said SERVPRO’s McCabe. “Hockey was a natural fit as many of us are enthusiasts of the sport and we personally know many young players with Type 1 Diabetes.”

“This is personal to me,” CAI’s Michael Shaw said, “but it’s not about me. It’s about the millions of people like me who share my diagnosis. Research into a cure for T1D and JDRF’s work is a

cause near and dear to my pancreas and my heart. I’m can’t say enough good things about the outpouring of support, hard work, and dedication from my co-workers, our board members, our chapter members, and my friends. I’m looking forward to the day when we can turn Type One into Type Won and I truly appreciate everyone from Keystone CAI who’s taking part in this effort.”

Score for the Cure is currently seeking sponsors and individual donors to help reach their fundraising goal.
