Max credits MBA’s success to relationships. Early in their time with MBA, Max and Cindy saw firsthand how relationships were important for MBA to thrive and succeed. It is through banking that they have developed lifelong friendships with bankers across Missouri and the nation.

Successful relationships also extend to the culture at MBA. Max has relied on his team at MBA, trusting their expertise and knowledge, for more than three decades. Tat trust, along with the staff ’s dedication, has made MBA a premier banking association.

“Te goals that MBA has achieved are because of our staff and member banks,” Max said. “I’m extremely honored to have worked with many talented individuals at MBA.”

As Max and Cindy embark on the new journey that retirement brings, they are

humbled by the outpouring of recognition and wishes from colleagues across Missouri and the country. Tey also have found themselves reflecting on what the last 32 years has meant to them. Many memories come to mind, but the ones that resonate the most involve family.

“Cindy has always been by my side throughout my career,” Max said. “One of the memories I cherish is Cindy receiving the MBA Chairman’s Award in recognition for all she’s given to MBA. Having Cindy and our girls, Amanda and Ashlyn, be part of this journey is something I’ll always remember.”

As for his legacy at MBA, there’s one thing Max hopes people remember.

“I feel like a banker at heart and have always had the industry’s best interest at heart,” he said.
